Yay or Nay: Mexican Pointy Boots

We weren’t really looking for news stories on YouTube when we stumbled upon this story on pointy boots from VBS.

Regular Boots Turned into Elf Shoes

We know we said we never say never but maybe we should consider never using that statement again. Haha. We can’t imagine ourselves, or anyone we know, wearing these Mexican pointy boots. The shoes are regular cowboy boots with customized pointy toes. They come in all kinds of materials and colors. The fancier boots even have LED lights and glitters.

How about you, how do you feel about these shoes?

Pointy Boots from Mexico

According to the video by VBS, the shoes, called  botas vaqueras exóticas, are huge among dance crews in Matehuala, Mexico. The shoes have taken over rodeo dance floors in the area, and have spread to a few places in the US including Texas. There’s a whole culture and movement behind the footwear.
